Amylee Amos of The Amos Institute
When it comes to supporting the nervous system, whether it be brain injury, brain disease, brain degeneration, cognitive decline, or other neurological condition, the actual support for the nervous system is basically universal. And this is one of the many reasons why I am so excited to be interviewing Amylee Amos of the Amos Institute.
For Amylee the devastation of Alzheimer’s disease is very personal. For twelve long years, Amylee witnessed the immense suffering of her Nana, the grandmother after whom she is named, as she battled Alzheimer’s. This disease not only took the life of her beloved Nana, but also took a large emotional and financial toll on her entire family.
Amylee understands first hand what families are experiencing and she is fully committed to helping people reverse this terrible disease. She founded the Amos Institute to help individuals prevent and reverse cognitive decline utilizing a functional medicine approach. Their Cognitive Health Program is a comprehensive and affordable program which is designed to help optimize brain health through nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
Amylee is a Functional Registered Dietitian who graduated with a Master of Science in Nutrition, Healthspan, & Longevity from the University of Southern California’s Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. She is one of only a handful of dietitians in the United States who is certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine, a high-level achievement for leading medical providers.
Amylee has trained at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center through Keck Hospital at USC, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and under world renowned biogerontologist and cell biologist Dr. Valter Longo at the University of Genoa, Italy. Amylee is also a guest lecturer at USC, UCLA and Loma Linda University.
Amylee has worked hard to ensure that her program is affordable because she so strongly believes that everyone should have access to this lifesaving information.
Enjoy this interview with a beautiful soul who sets a shining example of helping the betterment of human life! 🙏
